Who would argue about the joy of a kitten
The pleasures the little one brings to us
Little paws held up high in constant play
That surely does not cause our hearts to sway,
So soft the furry one curled up in a small ball
Taking a respite from life’s demanding call
Pull out the string and watch the wonder
Of new delights displaying action’s thunder,
How cute, how adorable, how totally sweet
Everything the kitten does, every single feat,
So much like an adult in love with their child
Are the parents of a kitten down to the last meow,
So you that would argue on the joy of a kitten
Are missing out on so much more than I’ve written.
Dedicated to Cassie.
